album: OLD YATSON'S UNDERWORLD

When creating my Bade Walden comic, I went about it as though it were a movie. In my mind, each character in the still frame 2D panels had a unique voice that only I could hear. A distinct movement pattern only I could see. So naturally, when reading through my pages, I would also hear a soundtrack playing in the background of each scene. I turned what I heard into an album I wrote, produced and engineered, put together using the help of different vocalists and instrumentalists.

Paragraph

The release of Old Yatson's Underworld was met with such good feedback regarding the opinions of listeners, as well as the experiences of the musicians involved, that it prompted me to make a sequel, this time implementing my new studio equipment and knowledge I have gained through my training at SNAP Studios, releasing later this year.

about sami : Audio engineer and music producer

A London-based audio engineer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for crafting authentic, fully realised sound.
Formally trained at SNAP Studios & Sound Academy, I've built a solid technical foundation across the full production pipeline — from recording and microphone technique through to mixing and mastering. That training, combined with my day-to-day immersion in the professional music world at the Royal Academy of Music, has sharpened both my ear and my understanding of what great audio demands.

As an artist, I write, perform, and produce my own music under the name SAMI, with a debut album independently released across all major streaming platforms. I'm a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist — and those performance roots directly inform how I work with other artists, giving me an instinct for what a musician needs from a recording environment.
Beyond my own projects, I've worked behind the scenes for other artists across recording, mixing, and production — bringing the same attention to detail and creative investment to their music as I do to my own.
Whether I'm behind the glass or behind an instrument, my goal is always the same: to serve the song.
